![]() International Competition: India Premiere To be eligible for the festival, the submitted film must have the following premiere status as of 12 th November, 2020: The festival director also reserves the right to remove any film from the selection in any special cases as deemed by the festival. All cases will be governed by and construed in all respects in accordance with the laws of India and settled under the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Mumbai. The Festival Director reserves the right to settle all cases not covered by the guidelines and to grant exceptions in special cases. ![]() For International Competition and World Cinema sections, the date of completion must be 25 th October, 2019 or after. The films must have been completed after 10 th July, 2019 in order for it to be eligible for India Gold, India Story, and Dimensions Mumbai section. Participation at other international festivals outside India and/or applying in the 67 th National and State Film Awards (2020) does not ensure entry into the festival. The minimum duration of a feature length film (fiction or documentary) should be 50 minutes or more. If selected, a final version of the film in DCP format (with English subtitles) must be available to the festival by 5 th October, 2020. Once submitted as a work-in-progress, the film is ineligible to apply for future editions of the festival, in any other form. A film that has been withdrawn from participation in earlier editions cannot be re-submitted to the festival.įilms that are works-in-progress are accepted on the condition that the submitted version will be the only one watched by the selection committee. This decision of the festival will be communicated to the filmmaker and if the filmmaker accepts the decision then the film will screen in the section selected for the film, by the festival.įilms submitted in any form to earlier editions of the festival are ineligible to apply. If selected, the selection committee reserves the right to choose the most appropriate section for the film. ![]() Submissions for this section will open at a later date.įilms submitted to the above sections can also be selected by the festival for curated sections which can’t be applied to, such as Half Ticket, Discovering India, After Dark or Spotlight.
